Forces Of Nature

Patience

Nature has a design known only to her,

Slowly revealing her artistic intent with the passing of ages.

As the river flows, sculpting the landscape,

To the Forces of Nature even the granite succumbs.

And Now, By Popular Demand.

Over the last few years I’ve often been asked if I offer workshops. The answer has always been, “Some day.”

I’m pleased to announce that “Some Day” has finally arrived!

Whether you’re looking for a private one-on-one or a small group experience, I can taylor a workshop to your needs.

Seascapes, both morning and evening, along the rugged New Hampshire seacoast, I do that.

Or is photographing the historic charm of a classic New England seacoast town more to your liking? Let me be your guide as we walk around the Portsmouth, NH area in search of iconic New England architecture.

Waterfalls, waterfalls, waterfalls. The White Mountains of New Hampshire has some of the most picturesque waterfalls to be found anywhere.

From roadside to secluded, my June 19-21 White Mountain Waterfalls workshop and photo tour may be just the thing for you.

And then there’s Autumn.

Fall in New Hampshire is a sight to behold, with its vibrant color and mountain views, you’ll experience the spectacular beauty only autumn in New Hampshire can provide. From October 4th to the 6th I’ll be hosting a small group of photographers and helping them capture some of the beautiful color people come from the world over to witness.

For more information on rates or to reserve either a spot on one of my scheduled workshops or a private one-on-one experience, please visit my Workshop page.

As always, don’t hesitate to Contact me.

        1. It really is. The more hiking, backpacking, and photographing I do, the more I regret not starting to do any of it back in the mid 80’s when I first moved to NH while stationed in the US Air Force.

          1. I also regret not starting earlier with my photography. I had a camera (it was all film back then), but I didn’t have the patience to figure things out and learn.

            1. I had an old Canon AE-1 way back in the 80’s. But I never took it seriously. Honestly, I only had it because I thought it would be “cool” to have a fancy camera with all the interchangeable lenses. I got some very good, but purely accidental, photos with it but it never really stuck.

  1. Stunning photos. Great poem too. Wonderful photography. The water looks like silk, so delicate. Nature is delicate in some ways, after all. I was in your part of the world, I’d sign up for the workshops 🙂

    1. I’m very excited to say that I can finally say “yes I am,” when someone asks. The few clients I’ve had so far have been very pleased and offered great feedback. I still find it hard to believe how much I like teaching. I get almost as much enjoyment out of helping others get great photos as I do making them myself.

      1. that is just fabulous!! I hope some day I get by again and can take that workshop with you!! specially because you live in such a wonderful place, like heaven for amateur and professionel photographers! You’ll do great, Enjoy!

        1. All I need is a little notice when you’ll be back in my neck of the woods and what you’d like to photograph, I’ll taylor make a workshop just for you.

  2. Congratulations on starting your workshop series, Jeff. I know you’ll be able to take people to scenic places and teach them a lot about great photography. But it’s also quite exhausting leading workshops and taking care of all the logistics, so be prepared for that, too. And then there is human nature 🙂

    1. Thanks! You don’t have to tell me about the logistics part. Getting a permit to operate in the White Mountain National Forest has been a bit of a pain in the butt. They want to have the specifics on everything, the exact trails and attractions I’ll be taking clients to. Everything up to and including how human waste will be dealt with in the backcountry.

In the end it’s all going to be worth it though. I’m loving the teaching aspect of it.

  3. Great photography as always. How exciting the workshops, I’m sure you’ll have great success 🙂
