Over the last few years I’ve often been asked if I offer workshops. The answer has always been, “Some day.”
I’m pleased to announce that “Some Day” has finally arrived!
Whether you’re looking for a private one-on-one or a small group experience, I can taylor a workshop to your needs.
Seascapes, both morning and evening, along the rugged New Hampshire seacoast, I do that.

Well, I’ve never been to New Hampshire, so maybe Mike and I will just hop in the car one day and make it a road trip :). It looks beautiful there!
It really is. The more hiking, backpacking, and photographing I do, the more I regret not starting to do any of it back in the mid 80’s when I first moved to NH while stationed in the US Air Force.
I also regret not starting earlier with my photography. I had a camera (it was all film back then), but I didn’t have the patience to figure things out and learn.
I had an old Canon AE-1 way back in the 80’s. But I never took it seriously. Honestly, I only had it because I thought it would be “cool” to have a fancy camera with all the interchangeable lenses. I got some very good, but purely accidental, photos with it but it never really stuck.
So pretty!! “Some day” I will definitely attend one of your workshops… 🙂
And I’ll be here whenever you’re ready!

I’m very excited to say that I can finally say “yes I am,” when someone asks. The few clients I’ve had so far have been very pleased and offered great feedback. I still find it hard to believe how much I like teaching. I get almost as much enjoyment out of helping others get great photos as I do making them myself.

Congratulations on starting your workshop series, Jeff. I know you’ll be able to take people to scenic places and teach them a lot about great photography. But it’s also quite exhausting leading workshops and taking care of all the logistics, so be prepared for that,too. And then there is human nature 🙂
Thanks! You don’t have to tell me about the logistics part. Getting a permit to operate in the White Mountain National Forest has been a bit of a pain in the butt. They want to have the specifics on everything, the exact trails and attractions I’ll be taking clients to. Everything up to and including how human waste will be dealt with in the backcountry.
In the end it’s all going to be worth it though. I’m loving the teaching aspect of it.
