From late October through most of November, the most gorgeous golden light passes through the woods on the side of the road to my house. So far this is the best I’ve done to capture it. Taken back in 2008, only a few months after I bought my first camera, this is also my first attempt at HDR, not half bad if I do say so myself.

Beautiful! I also love the snowing background 🙂
Thanks Stephanie. If I can’t have the real thing, I might as well have it on my blog 😀
I know! I have a snowy desktop because this winter has been weird and I miss the cold and snow! Hope things change soon! I didn’t move to TN from FL to have mild winters 😦
Try NEw England with mild winters. I’m torn, working as an auto mechanic in my “real” life, I really dislike working under cars for about 3 days after a snow storm. But not having it to photograph makes for very boring “Winter” photos.
Excellent job with the HDR on this one Jeff. Sometimes I find HDR looks kind of overdone, but this is perfect. The colours are so rich and the lighting is beautiful!!
Thank you Cindy. I am pretty happy with it even though it was done in an old version of Photoshop, CS2. If I still had the original images I think I could have done a much better job with HDR Efex Pro 2.
this’s lovely and the snowy background’s great
Thanks Yassmin. I really want some of the real thing, so this will have to do until then 🙂
cool
I love autumn. What an awesome photo 🙂
Thank you, it’s my favorite season, at least as long as the color lasts. As soon as the leaves are all down and the color is gone I start wishing for snow!
Love the colors on the trees and on the ground!
Thanks Belen. The late day light falling through the trees in this little patch of woods during late Autumn has the most beautiful glow. I’m still trying to do it justice.
