Or as I like to call my morning in the woods getting these images,
Muddy, Bloody, and Wet!
Because I got a little, gave a little, and got some of the last too! I really need to start watching where I’m going!
This is also a first for me I think. This is the first time I’ve gone out to make the photos specifically for the weekly challenge. I’m going to have to do it more often. Hopefully with less blood loss.
So, without further delay…
Close.
And something for the “Bug People” out there, you know who you are 😀
Nice shots!
Thanks!
Stunning!
I like “stunning” 😉 Thank You!
These are mighty fine Jeff! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Donna.
These are fantastic shots… I hope you are alright… Were there lions lurking behind the fir? 🙂
And tigers and bears, oh my 😉
All part of getting the shot. One of these days I’ll learn to watch where I’m going and 😛
Way to go! 😆 TY for the good humor.
Hey Jeff…
These are compositions right up my alley (-: Nice effort, producing a first, and good captures.
Thanks Rick.
Love that shot across the fern Jeff. Great angle. No blood in the pics though! 🙂
Nope, left all the blood on the sticks and thorns that found me while I wandered the woods. The mosquitoes took their fair share as well. 😀
Love the first one across the ferns too. Beautiful!
Thank you Madhu.
This was worth shedding blood ;). Perfect macros….. but who am I to judge 😀
An adoring fan with a good eye, that’s who 😉
P.S. … and I starred them too 😉
See I told you, adoring fan 😛
Hmmm, do I have an adoring fan in you as well? 😀
You know you do young lady 😛
they are all great but the first one is beautiful
Thanks Jo!
All the photos are nice, but first is great(I really like the light there).
Thanks Cornel, I think it’s my favorite as well.
the drop of water on the fern leaf – priceless.
Thank you ever so much!
Gorgeous, as usual, SJTR. That top one is ace – I love the focus on the centre, so unusual and really effective.
Fair Maiden I think thee, your gracious compliment shows you are of the highest character. 😀
So, will I see you atop Mt. Washington this coming Sunday? Road opens at 3:30 😉
I wish, stuck in the Big Apple for a bit. I am, however, figuring out how to get up your way sometime this summer. I may be in Boston in early August, is there a train that runs somewhere close? 🙂
Amtrak runs right into downtown Dover, about 1/2 hour south of me. Let me know when/if you’re coming. As long as I have some warning, or more importantly, can give my wife plenty of warning, I can plan a day of camera fun. 😀
Excellent, will give you advance warning of any impending arrival – so you can run and hide 😉
I’m sorry, do I know you? 😛
Haha, that caught me unawares, nearly spilled my coffee 🙂
Knockouts and love the greens and the full frames. Hope you didn’t hurt yourself too badly. I have also found myself looking through the camera eye too much and not the other, usually more important, ones. I set my tripod up once about 10 feet from an alligator of note worthy size laying in the mud and never noticed.
Oh I’m fine, nothing but minor scrapes. What is really surprising is that I can be so preoccupied that I don’t even feel my run-in with the sharp stick, rock, etc. It’s often not until I happen to look down and see blood running down my leg that I realize I got me a little boo-boo:-D
And I thought my run in with the bears was close! Would love me an alligator shot though;-)
Very amazing. I post the same interpretation about leaves but not as great as you. Wow, stunning pictures you have here
Thank you Albadr, I just took a look at your leaves close-ups, and they are very good. The first three in particular, are very well done.
Great entry for this week topic Jeff, great work.
Thanks a lot Jake! 😀
Amazing images – the spider is so delicate!
Thank you, considering how small the spider was, I’m surprised I saw it. But glad I did 😉
This is fantastic Jeff… great work 🙂
I’ve seen your work, that’s high praise coming from you! Thanks.
I’m overrated, don’t believe the hype 🙂 Very nice of you to say though, so thank you 🙂
Yea, I’m my own worst critic too 😉 It’s hard to step back and say, “Damn, I really am good,” isn’t it?
I can say I’ve gotten better… not sure about being good though. So yes I agree 🙂
Your good, so just sit back a bask in the adulation of your fans 🙂
Hey Jeff, im sitting in a laundromat in Washington and I figures I’d take the time to swing by your site to see what you’ve been up to. Gotta say, the first image in this series has to be one of my top favorites of your photographs that I’ve seen. Love the focus of the composition and the vibrant green on black. Very well taken!
Sorry to hear the sunrise on Mt. Washington was less than hoped for. Hope its better next time!
I’m dying to get home to my computer to get a photo of sunset light reflecting off Mt. Hood that I was able to take from 9,000ft on Mt. Adams. I hope it comes out as good as I hope!
Talk to ya later and keep up the good work!
Nate
Thanks a lot Nate. Glad to see you’re enjoying it out there, and I’m looking forward to the photos!
