    • Thank you so much!!

I really need to come up with better, more creative, ways to say thank you. I truly appreciate every comment like yours that I get, but “Thanks, Thank you, Thank You So Much,” after a while just seems to sound so repetitive to the point of meaningless. But rest assured I value yours and every other comment I receive! 😀

  1. Hands in the beaver picture are wonderful. Squirrel and chipmonk are lovely and I can’t see how these shots can turn out any better. Was the white lens involved? 😉
Funny thing, the night before last while I was sleeping and having a photo challenge nightmare I wished for woods and a squirrel to shoot its little hands and now you come up with it :D. Are you a mind/dream reader?

  2. Come on Nnnnnoooowwwwww …. you know they’re not hands. I’ll give you a free pass on this one, Jeff, becuase that little squirrel against the white back grouand it fabulous. It looke like he has posed for his prom portrait. SOooo ….. cute and adorable.

    • Thank you very much Ailsa. I don’t do my own printing, I don’t need or want the headaches. Calibrating, profiles, no thanks. I do calibrate my monitor though. I mostly use Bay Photo, http://www.bayphoto.com/ The quality is excellent, and the prices are very good. Minimum $12 order gets you 2-3 day UPS shipping for $1.50 too.

They are also who my website is linked with, so I need to know the quality is there if (when I hope 🙂 ) someone makes a purchase.

      • Thanks for the info, Jeff, I just checked out their Smugmug website integration, looks really impressive, is that what you used for your site? It seems fully customisable, and looks like you can use whatever domain name you want, which many other places don’t offer.

        • Yes ma’am.

SM is awesome! The best $150 per year I’ve ever spent on Photogaphy. I did pay extra, around $15 per year, for my own domain name but that’s it. The full screen slide show, and all the other customizations I have done were free with the help of people over on the dgrin forums.

Their “Heroes” are unbelievably helpful too. I’ve only had to wait more than an hour or two for a reply to a question once.

  3. The beaver made me laugh when I brought it up on my reader. The squirrel is absolutely stunning in its simplicity. Are you sure that chipmunk is reaching out for a “fist bump?” Great series, as usual.

    • Thanks Brandon. I was very surprised how close the beaver let me get, and didn’t see to care either. He/she would go into the water and get something to eat and bring it right back to the same spot.

There was another beaver that surfaced near where I was, got one look at me and couldn’t get out of there fast enough!

  4. I’ve been trying to find a way to make an ordinary squirrel not appear boring in a photograph for a long time. You certainly achieved what I have not been able to. Great post for “hands.” I’m going to go subscribe to the weekly challenge now and start this myself!

    • Thanks Nate. You’ll love the weekly challenge, a lot of fun.

Thanks on the squirrel too. I think he was trying to look all cute, just before he raided the bird feeder 🙂

Comments and thoughtful critiques are always welcome.
