Weekly Photo Challenge: Distorted

Distorted, and then some.

Here are a few, all taken on the same day, on the same small section of stream.

A special thanks to Rochelle, for the updated title / caption of the last image. Hers was much better than mine.

  5. Wow! You’ve inspired me to get out and take more pictures. I dusted off my camera last year, dropped it on a trip overseas and gleefully replaced it last month! it is a fun hobby! I really enjoyed your photographs. Thank you!

    • I love photography! It fills the creative itch I’ve had for a very long time. I’m no expert, but if you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask.

  12. I like the composition of the third photo: fingers of ice creeping over an inky river.

    March 3, 2012 at 7:24 pm

    • Thank you.

Your description of that photo leaves mine sorely lacking. I hope you don’t mind, but I think I might “borrow” it.

      March 3, 2012 at 7:31 pm

      • Heheh … borrow away. The creator of the visual inspiration should have some entitlements to it :)

  20. stunning, Jeff.

    March 4, 2012 at 10:23 pm

  21. You always interpret these with both great application in technique and creativity. Was these all from the same subject? Like them all but that 3rd one is really marvelous.

    March 7, 2012 at 7:40 pm

    • Thank you Brandon, #3 does seem to be the favorite.

They aren’t all the same subject, but they were all taken on the same day, literally within feet of each other. I was out with a group of photographer friends, and we came across this section of stream that had the most amazing ice formations. You are probably going to see more from this day, as well as other ice photos in the very near future, hint, hint.
